Grand Rapids Classes at the Home School Building

HPA will offer drama classes for grades 1-12, on Tuesdays THIS FALL at the Home School Building.  

Classes:
Elementary Drama: 12:00-1:00pm (6 years old through 6th grade)
Junior/Senior High Drama: 1:15-2:30pm (7th-12th grade)

Cost:
$130 per semester, Family Discounts do not apply to classes.
There are no additional fees, and no admission charge for performance.

Objectives
The primary focus of the practices will be developing a quality performance glorifying to God and with aesthetic value.  The goal is to help individuals develop as actors and people, through instruction and personal experience.  The experience will be more than just producing a play; the “class” might better be described as stage performance development.  For more information about class contact Cole Groot.

Schedule
Classes are Tuesdays, and will meet every week from September 6 through October 25.
Thursday, October 27 will be a Dress Rehearsal beginning at 12pm and the Class Performance at 7pm

Instructor
Cole Groot is a former homeschooler and alumni of HPA.  He is currently the drama director at Tri-Unity HS and a Theatre Technician at Van Singel Fine Arts Center in Byron Center.  Mr. Groot has taught classes for HPA and Master Arts Theatre as well as directed several HPA productions, most recently Brigadoon in Lansing.
